Amy Grat, Chief Executive Officer of ITEP since August 2010. Amy received a Master of Business Administration from USC Marshall School of Business, a Master of International Affairs from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from San Diego State University.
Amy is responsible for the overall leadership of ITEP – fundraising, strategic direction, program oversight, administrative oversight, and head cheerleader. Amy builds relationships with ITEP business partners, educators, and local government.
Bonnie Bair, Director of Budget & Strategic Planning of ITEP since August 2006. She received a Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a Master of Science Technology from Claremont Graduate School.
Bonnie was one of the original co-founders of ITEP in 1999, and has been instrumental in growing ITEP. Bonnie is responsible for the organization’s program, its day-to-day operations, supporting the Board of Directors strategic plan, and managing planning and program development.
Belén Bernal, Senior Operations Manager, joined ITEP in January 2017 with over 10 years of nonprofit experience. A graduate of UC Santa Barbara in Sociology, Belen also holds a Master of Business Administration from CSU Long Beach. Besides her professional career, Belén serves as the Mayor to the City of South Gate, where she has resided for over 30 years.
Responsibilities: day-to-day operations, including oversight of accounting, human resources, information technology, facilities and procurement administration and compliance
Gena Divine, Senior Development Manager, at ITEP since September 2015. Gena studied Criminology at Florida State University.
Responsibilities: provides leadership, implementation, and administration of a comprehensive philanthropic advancement program, including development of fundraising campaigns and writing grant proposals and reports, deepens relationships with donors and broadens outreach to prospects, works closely with ITEP’s CEO to identify and cultivate new funding opportunities, provides support for governance and Board of Directors, identifies and expands relationships with industry volunteers and companies who have the potential for a larger organizational partnership
Nicole Martin Huezo
Nicole Martin Huezo, Senior Program Manager, joined ITEP in October 2013. Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Whittier College.
Responsibilities: provide direction and oversight of all ITEP-supported pathways and student internship program, lead annual coordination of ITEP’s signature GPS Your Future and Environmental Youth Leadership Summit events, support staff development, operationalize innovation in programs and maintain high standards for performance excellence
Genetric Brown, Senior Marketing Manager, joined ITEP in August 2017. Genetric received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and minor in Dance from CSU Dominguez Hills. She is currently earning a Master of Public Administration from CSU Long Beach.
Responsibilities: create and implement marketing strategies which Increase greater awareness of ITEP in the community, cultivate media and community relations, lead brand launch, and develop events in support of program and advancement goals
Gabriel Chabrán, Priority Projects Manager of ITEP since February 2018. Gabriel received a Master of Arts in Leadership Development from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Whittier College.
Responsibilities: oversees new business development, tracking all current programs, management of all partnership packages as well as MOU’s, oversees all special projects
Ana Cortez, Program Manager, at ITEP since August 2015. Ana received a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies with a minor in Labor Relations from UC Santa Barbara, and is currently working on a Master of Public Administration from CSU Northridge. She is also an ITEP alum from Phineas Banning High School, class of 2009.
Responsibilities: assist ITEP-supported pathways at Los Angeles River School, Manual Arts High School, and Roosevelt High School
Adrian Delgado, Program Manager, at ITEP since January 2017. Adrian received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CSU Northridge and a Master of Arts in Non-Profit Management from Antioch University Los Angeles. He is also an ITEP alum from Phineas Banning High School, class of 2007.

Golnaz Fatemi, Administrative Coordinator, at ITEP since September 2014. Golnaz received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & Sociology from the University of Utah, a certificate in Human Resources Management from CSU Long Beach, a career and work counselor diploma from George Brown College, and health and life insurance licenses from the state of California.
Responsibilities: provides general and administrative support to the CEO, COO, and other ITEP team members; maintains a professional and efficient office environment; makes travel arrangements; assists in upholding company compliance with new HR laws and regulations, administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties such as benefits, compensation, and employment
Martha Maciel, Program Manager, joined ITEP in January 2015. Martha received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and minor in Spanish Language Journalism from CSU Northridge. She is currently earning a Master of Public Administration from CSU Northridge.

Patricia Mora, Marketing Coordinator, joined ITEP in September 2016. Patricia received a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Management from UC Irvine and is a UCLA Anderson Riordan MBA Fellow ’18.
Responsibilities: revamp and manage ITEP’s social media pages, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube, execute engaging email campaigns and newsletters, contribute to the successful execution of events, create and manage content for ITEP’s website, conceptualize, design, and enhance marketing collateral, provide marketing support to all departments, capture ITEP moments through photography, collaborate on rebranding campaign
Kathy O’Malley, Grant Writer, joined ITEP in June 2016. Kathy received a Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from CSU Long Beach.
Responsibilities: coordinate, write, and edit grant proposals and reports to grant-making foundations/corporations, manage grants and reports calendar, maintain monthly grants pipeline reports, and research grant-making foundations and corporations for potential funding opportunities
Judy Orejel, Accounting Coordinator, joined ITEP in September 2016.
Responsibilities: handle accounts payable and receivable duties, prepare deposits and general ledger posting, ensure vendor files are complete and maintained as needed, process payments and expense reports, reconcile monthly credit card statements, assist with monthly reports
Alejandra Rios, Program Manager, joined ITEP in September 2015. Alejandra received a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Sciences from CSU Dominguez Hills.
Responsibilities: assist ITEP-supported pathways at Carson, Gardena, West Adams Preparatory, and Rancho Dominguez Preparatory high schools
Samuel Sumner, Finance Manager, joined ITEP in January 2018, bringing with him over 20 years of financial and accounting experience including big 4 public accounting. Samuel is a certified public accountant who graduated from California State University Fullerton as a member of the accounting society and member of the honor society Beta Alpha Psi.
Responsibilities: managing all financial reporting both internal and external, day to day financial and accounting functions, managing and maintaining internal controls, cash management and development, and implementation of financial policies and procedures
Melissa Velasco, Development Coordinator, at ITEP since August 2017. Melissa received an Associate of Science degree in Business Management from El Camino College.
