ITEP’s 18th Annual Dinner and Scholarship Celebration

Almost 700 ITEP partners, students, alumni, and friends joined in celebration of 32 scholarship recipients, 5 outstanding honorees, and the oceans of opportunity within reach for ITEP students.

Thanks to your support, we raised more than $319,000 to bring year-round career exploration activities, industry mentorship, and internships to the 6,400 high school students we serve!

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles – Long Beach has been a proud ITEP partner for 18 years and counting.

Mike Shaadt is Director Emeritus of the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium (CMA). One of Mike’s favorite volunteer activities has been working with ITEP.

Tammy Bird is a National Board Certified Teacher, who developed the Environmental Science, Engineering, and Technology (ESET) Academy at Carson High School. ESET and Ms. Bird began partnering with ITEP to connect curriculum from the classroom to the business world in 2014.

Ana overcame the difficulties of her family’s economic hardship and showed great dedication as she became very active in Narbonne High School’s Business Entrepreneurship Technology Academy and ITEP programs. She plans to study Biochemistry, Forensic Science or Criminal Justice in college.
